On April 6, 2023, Poet Ananya Chatterjee concluded the grand launch of her new book “Barefoot on Splintered Glass” by BookWryter (Jan, 2023). The event organized at The Harrington Streets Arts Center, Kolkata, was graced by veteran Bollywood Actor & Writer, Deepti Naval & famed music composer of film industry, Debojyoti Mishra.
On her Facebook post, Ananya Chatterjee wrote, “The last couple of days were spent in a daze. I have been floating in a land of dreams. The beautiful evening will stay for a long long time in my memory. The evening that witnessed the launch of Barefoot On Splintered Glass was an evening where poetry and music came together, filled with light, love, and warmth. I sincerely thank Sunil Bhandari for moderating the event with such elegance and proficiency. My gratitude to dear Debojyoti Mishra Debu Da for his spellbinding recital and his beautiful words. And I can never truly express how it was a dream come true moment for me when Deepti Naval ji talked about why and how she connected to me and my creative work. My publisher, poet Linda Ashok (Bookwryter)’s faith in me, and the excellent work she has done to design, edit and publish the book, has given me the confidence to keep dreaming bigger. The event couldn’t have been what it was without the groundwork done by Sreeraj Mitra and his team from Sagittarius Communications. Ipshita Sengupta so wonderfully managed the books counter and the sales. You are a gem, Ipshita! Lastly, my heart-felt thanks to the lovely audience, my friends, fellow poets, artists, and lovers of poetry who turned up on a weekday evening to be a part of this memorable event. You made all the difference. Thank you Abizit da for the lovely photographs.”
